How to Design a Cheese Platter

How to Design a Cheese Platter

I’ve always helplessly looked at Pinterest cheeseboards and wondered how to make one. Visually, they are always so pretty but I didn’t know how to design one.

Last week I made a chessboard and subconsciously put some thought and structure to it. Probably after spending so much time looking at Pinterest 😅. Anyways here it is:

1. Zig zag your cheese slices from top to bottom.

2. Add your bulkier items in first, eg. grapes or olive bowl.

2. Zig zag.jpg

3. Bigger items .jpg

3. Then add fruits, which are similar in colour, on opposite sides of the board, eg. Blueberries and blackberries / strawberries and pomegranate / Indian figs / dried apricots.

4. Fruit opposite colours.jpg

4. Fruits with text.jpg

4. Fill in the gaps with crackers and nuts.

For an extra touch, I added honey with a wooden spoon and some rosemary.

Hope this inspires you to create one for your next dinner party this Christmas!!
